About
My name is Ben, and I’m constantly thinking about this question: What happens when the church sings like they believe what they’re singing about? Answer: Something incredibly powerful.
Our God is one who sings, and He made His people to be a singing people. I want to come alongside others to help them come awake to this gift and exercise that misunderstood spiritual muscle. Because when we sing as God desires, the gospel is proclaimed, Jesus is honored, the church is empowered, skeptics grow curious, and people fundamentally change for the better.
I hold a master’s in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary and for nearly 2 decades have served in the local church on both coasts and in between. I have a deep heart for adoption and care for the orphan. You can read more about that here. Today I live in Santa Cruz County and serve the greater Bay Area with my wife, Kirsten, and our three kids: Joshua Zhou, Evelyn Yi, and Thaddeus Chung Hei.
